Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 28 – Purple & Blue

Yes dear readers, The moment I saw this palette, I knew that I needed it but I wont lie, the price was holding me back. But finally I got this palette and enjoying it so much. There have been some mixed reviews about Natasha Denonna’s palettes and I really wanted to break it down and test both of them before believing others.
Surely this looks very appealing but does it really live up to its reputation? Let’s find out!
Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Purple & Blue Palette:   An eye shadow palette with 28 shades that beautifully layer together for breathtaking eye looks. Natasha Denona’s Eyeshadow Palette 28 is ultra-pigmented, blends like a dream, and is long lasting. Enriched with moisturizing ingredients, it’s made with real crushed pearls that create a radiant glow. The palette features an array of ultra-pigmented, unique shades and finishes. The revolutionary formula is smooth to the touch so that eye color glides seamlessly onto your lids while providing vivid color payoff with a silky-soft feel. This product is cruelty-free.

My Thoughts: The hype around this palette is so real for many reasons, the first one being the price, then being the formula and colors. As the price is one of the major factors when it comes to Natasha Denona products so I think I should break down the price about this palette first than anything else. Don’t let the price of this palette scare you, it’s absolutely incredible! The palette itself is $239 excluding tax, it comes with 28 pans.  These eyeshadows come in single pans too, and the price of one single pan is around $23 -$29, If you want to purchase all these pans individually then the price would be around $800 or little less. OMG !! But if you buy this palette you are getting each shadows at $8.50 which is much cheaper than MAC, Makeup Geek, Anastasia Beverly hills, and Makeup Forever, so I though to wait and save and then get the palette because this is a great value. Now lets talk about the actual product. It comes with a white sleek packaging. Which I found really best because the palette is well made and will keep the shadows secured while travelling. And its a magnetic palette, so you can customize as well.img_0812

The purple-blue palette was my first choice because it is full of lovely purple and blue shades, as well as some browns, burgundies, and one duochrome green-red brown and grays. I am so in love with this palette and all the shadows, Performance of this palette is truly BOMB.The color payoff is very good on the hand and also on the eyes with wet or dry brush, I experienced  fallout and I guess its because these shadows are so pigmented and packed. These shadows are very intense, foiled pigment that lasts and lasts and lasts all day without a primer. All the shadows blend like butter, thats one of the things that I loved so much. The metallic shades are like liquid metal on the eyes. I used those with glitter glue once and is was so amazing.  I only wish that the palette had one or two highlight shade and a black shade. I like to use synthetic brush to apply the shades on my lid and these shadows can be used wet and dry.
Swatches are below, all the shades swatch with dry brush and without primer.

L to R : Cool Plum (70p), Vintage (49m), Oxide (63m), Golden Beige (52m), Quick Silver ( 09m), Deep Pacific (03v), Glaze (12m)

L to R : Satin Skin (75p), Smokey Plum (23p), Rosewood (51m), Golden Rose (60m), Steel Blue(11v), Powder Blue (84v), Gray Brown (38m)

Pros of the palette :

  • So many possible looks you can achieve with it.
  • Most of the shadow are richly pigmented and smooth texture.
  • Very Very nice palette for creating dramatic looks.
  • High quality, Smooth like butter

 Cons of this palette :

  • Some shadows are powdery.
  • Will need another palette or other shadows to complete a look.
  • Price can be a big  con to some people.

My Rating: 4/5

As you can see they are mostly pigmented. I would have preferred if there was a nice  shade for the brow bone or a rich black for making my eyemakeup a little more dramatic for the night party.. Other than that I am honestly in love with this palette. I think She did an amazing job while creating this palette! I feel this palette is worth every penny!! I highly recommend this palette specially to those who are makeup artist and do lots of high fashion looks,Yes it’s a huge gulp in the throat to pay $239 but divide it by the shades you get and it’s not that bad… save your pennies ladies because you’ll want these for sure!

yes I experienced fall out which is pretty normal for the well pigmented and well packed pans. I really liked using these with glitter glue for having them stick intensely on the lid 🙂
