Well as you all already know there has been a lot of hype surrounding this palette. For sure the palette looks very appealing but does it really that good ? Read more and let’s find out what I think about this super hyped palette.Urban Decay Vice 3:
You can never have too much of a good thing. Satisfy your eyeshadow vice with 20 velvety, NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN shades—from an amazing soft black and a stunning burgundy to a rich, smoky red-black. You can never have too much of a good thing. Satisfy your eyeshadow vice with 20 velvety, NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN shades—from an amazing soft black and a stunning burgundy to a rich, smoky red-black.
With so many different finishes—matte, satin, sparkle and even metallic (to echo the iced-out metallic look of the palette itself), this palette is made for experimentation. The shades are arranged in columns: neutrals on the left, jewel tones in the middle and smoky shades on the right. Pair up the vertically color-coordinated quads or go wild and mix them up. Our Pigment Infusion System™ gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability.
With Vice3, we pulled out ALL the stops. The extra slim case features hypnotic new artwork in an abstract stripe design, topped off with a bright, neon-green jeweled “Vice” icon to match the highly metallized green base. Use the coordinating bag to keep your Vice3 palette protected (and hidden from jealous would-be thieves), or as a place to store your UD brushes and other essentials.
My thoughts on this product:
I’ve never bought a vice palette before, and was looking forward to getting this when I saw the first picture of this on UD’s Instagram profile . I would start off by saying I absolutely loved the packaging , bright small makeup bag and the double ended brush but the eyeshadows are the main things for me,and the eyeshadows did not impress me at all. I absolutely loved few shades but those are not that kind of unique shades which we could not find anywhere else. Honestly if you ever used the original individual shadows and Naked Palettes from Urban Decay you will see how different these shadows are, these are not exactly the UD quality we are used too. The pigmentation and texture of these are where things start to go very very wrong .To me they are super chalky, powdery, the fall out is crazy and those shimmers look so cheap on the skin, the frost supposed to be more shimmery like other UD frost shadows, their frost textures are very similar to MAC frost shadows with very cheap shimmer or glitter or whatever. Not all the shadows are pigmented enough, I got very excited when I saw all the jewel tone colors, I really loved the color selection, all the bright’s are warm and jewel toned and neutrals are cool toned which dont show much on our skintone (nc35- nc45) that means if I create any look I have to use some mattes from different palette or different brands, Then why would I pay much on one palette where I will not get any warmer transitional and blending shade?
I have added all the eyeshadows swatches down below where you will able to see how their textures and pigmentations are.
I’m not really pleased with the performance of these shadows to be honest. Most of the shadows are either chalky or have plenty of fall outs . There are few shades in between are fine though. I only loved 3 shadows from this palette which are Alchemy,Bondage and Sonic. But they are dupable shades 🙂
The palette comes with a bright zipper small makeup bag and double ended eyeshadow brush, I love how stiff the brush is.
Pros of this product :
Great Color Selection
Good Quality Double Ended Brush.
Cons of this product :
No Good Warmer Blending Shadow.
Cheap Quality Shimmer
Overall, the palette did not meet my expectations. I love Urban Decay Cosmetics and Love their most of the products with all my heart however the product is not that good to me which I will love .
